Designed with the same functionality of the City Elite single, the Baby Jogger City Elite double stroller is perfect for the active, urban parent of two! Carting around two kids requires added storage space, and with a 30% larger under seat basket, a seat back compartment and a handlebar console with 6 separate pockets, this double stroller ensures you’ll have plenty of space to store your belongings.
Standout Features:
- Fits through standard size doorways
- Folds in one simple step
- Raised kicker adds leg support for smaller children
- 12″ tires that will never go flat
- Adjustable handlebar to accommodate users of all heights
- Plush padded seat reclines to a near flat position
- Extra storage space
Benefits for You: This Baby Jogger double stroller navigates easily around town with its narrow frame that fits through standard size doorways. With 12″ wheels the City Elite double maneuvers around those tight corners in the grocery and department stores. Although this stroller is designed to handle all-terrain, the City Elite is NOT a jogging stroller.
The Quick Fold technology of the City Elite, combined with its secure fold strap, makes for easy loading, and unloading, while storing and transporting. Its ample storage space is easily accessible, adding to the convenience of this double stroller. The adjustable handlebar accommodates to the height of each user, ensuring comfort and control while pushing this Baby Jogger.
With Baby Jogger’s universal accessory mounting bracket the City Elite adapts to the needs, and ages, of your children. With the push of a button, attach Baby Jogger accessories such as the Car Seat Adapter, Foot Muff, Jump Seat, and Bassinet, each sold separately.
Compatibility: With the purchase of the Baby Jogger Car Seat Adapter the City Elite double is compatible with most popular car seats including:
- Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30
- Maxi Cosi Mico
- Graco SnugRide
- Graco SnugRide 32
- Evenflo infant car seats
Benefits for Baby: Your dynamic duo will experience extreme comfort while riding around in the plush padded seat of the Baby Jogger City Elite double. Recline the seat to a near flat position at nap time and keep an eye on your little ones through the peek-a-boo window of the multi-position sun canopy.
The raised kicker adds leg support for smaller children, while the adjustable 5-point safety harness and shoulder pads ensure an extra snug and secure fit. The vented seat recline with retractable weather cover ensures an enjoyable ride for your passengers, no matter Mother Nature’s intentions.
Equipped with Baby Jogger’s accessory mounting bracket, you can attach a Child Tray or Belly Bar Console, sold separately, for snacks to keep your little one satisfied.
Comparison: The Tike Tech CityX3 Double stroller is a similar all-terrain twin to the Baby Jogger City Elite double. Both strollers feature 12″ wheels for easy maneuverability around tight corners in grocery stores and department stores, but the Tike Tech features a single front swivel wheel with adjustable tracking, as opposed to Baby Jogger’s dual front swivel wheels.
For the more active, all-terrain family the Valco Tri Mode Twin is a more comparable option for a double stroller. This Valco stroller also has ample storage space and, like the Baby Jogger, is equipped with a mounting system for additional accessories. However, it is slightly more expensive than the City Elite double, but it is narrower and lighter in weight for easy maneuverability.

I have a 2008 model and it is SO AWESOME i cannot even tell you.. Like the review before me tells you it has every bell and whistle including my favs like compartments for keys phone, drinks, snacks and even food for the ducks! I like the adjustable handle bar, i never thought it made a difference till i did not have one. LOVE that it pushes like a dream over every surface. I take this to the park, museums, and especially the zoo! I made a huge mistake and also bought a vibe off of craigslist to take to vegas… thinking its lighter and more compact. I have never been so frustrated in MY LIFE. The handle bars were too short and i am only 5″4. NO CUPHOLDER.. no key holder.. no anything holder. If you put something in the basket your kid on the bottom has his feet all over it (keep in mind my youngest is only 9 months) and he cant even recline in the second seat of the phil&teds vibe b/c he is already too tall?? and this is for kids up to 5? My 2 year old cant even rest his head and he is short! Vibe had a lot of shortcomings including the brake engaged by accident all the time. If you want something comfortable your kids wont grow out of and can at any age be able to sit in. Get the baby jogger. Its worth the little more weight for SURE. The sun cover also acts as a shild from the wind in the winter. My kids adore it. The two year old also gets out and helps push it. Its the best. Dont waste time on a phil and teds. By it on craigslist and test it out so you are not sooooo disappointed.

I don’t usually have a ton of time to write reviews, but feel compelled to write by the quality of this stroller. It is everything it claims to be and more. It is heavy-duty and yet stylish and elegant. While not designed for jogging, it handles all-terrain with ease. As for its features, they are beyond compare. I have owned many strollers, and this is by far the most impressive. The tires are rugged; the seat is well-padded and looks extremely comfortable; and it steers like a dream- even with two different sized children. The raised kicker is especially nice for little ones, and there is a wonderful parent console with a ton of pockets. The Baby Jogger canopies are the best in the business and cover the children almost completely. They are also high inside, allowing for taller toddlers and room to grow. The recline is considerable, almost flat, and allows for very comfortable napping. The Elite also has great attachment options, an adjustable handlebar, a large underseat basket, and huge extra pockets on the back of both seats. Finally, the best feature, only rivaled by the fabulous canopies, is the “Quick-fold” system used by Baby Jogger. This stroller folds in seconds with ease and really quite compactly considering its size. Now, it is heavy, make no mistake. However, in all my searching, I found that most all-terrain doubles are in the same ballpark. I have no trouble lifting it in and out of my minivan. It is also a good-sized stroller. It will navigate all doorways, but it is somewhat long. So, if you’re looking for a more compact stroller for almost all indoor mall shopping or something like that, then maybe consider the Baby Jogger City Mini Double, which is fabulous in its own right. Still, if you’re looking for a multi-purpose double- for indoors and out- and only want to buy one, this is definitely worth the investment. Bottom Line: this stroller is worth every penny. Note: The new 2010 Elite models have a few upgrades. The most significant are the new hand-brake and foam-filled “Forever-air” tires. I do have a 2010 single Elite with these features and they are wonderful. However, I have the 2009 double model with air-filled tires and the foot bake, and I can’t imagine anyone not being thrilled with it!
